whenever you add sailors, the ability changes. the way the numbers change is like the way the number of recruits changes when you add them...it rolls up high and goes back down to actual amount.

a but makes it show all the numbers in between, and sometimes you get garbage. move your mouse off and back on to the sailor, and it's fixed.

thats a bug that happens to me too with my seaman ;p

He started as a 2nd seaman and the choices were 1st to chf or Maintenance to chf maint.
