  • Bigger map (+ POLL)

SDE/community, why we don't have one bigger map like real war on seas.
Now we have most of the time 30/50 players in a gb2 but the map is so small i think.
CV's can bomb everywhere they want. The cv range is all over the map.
Why don't make a map 4 times so big. So cv's must really move for attacking a
target.
Then you have a more tactic game and more real.
Then you must really think where you're going to.
And not just shoot run, shoot run, all on the same places.
How long takes it to sail from north to south..? 1 min? don't know.
Thats not real offcourse.
But we can still have the normal gb2 room.
Maby an idea for more real and more fun Navy games.
It's now more; just shoot so much as you can.

Rushing in isn't an option if you want to live in a larger scale battle.

Hello, I read all posts, but I like the idea of a bigger map. The main problem that current
maps have from my point of view is you know where the enemy, Left o right side of the
screen. There is no surprise and, at last, becomes the game a continous cycle of similar
battles.
Unless you area in a fleet, and have the chance to participate in a HA team work mostly
doesn큧 exists, more advanced players repeat once and once again the same play
(shoot with BB form log distance) and CV큦 running for thier lives.
In GB2 rooms usually when BB balance is 2:1 the final results is usually the same: team
with more BB wins, and CV큦 haven큧 any chance to change this.

About "out of ammo" have a simple solution than return to port: Milk cows. For a fleet of
20 ships, 4 ships placed there by the sistem only to re-supply. O even better, a new
use for APA ships.
This could make more interesting the game.

Larger map == scaled down XP & respawns.

-OR-

Automatic, adaptive map function for size/pop proportions.

Larger map would necessitate more teamwork. How about this.

Have to the computer determine the map size based on number of ships in the waiting room.
Then, split the teams further into task forces....something like 4 BB, 1 CV, and 8-12
smaller escort ships if they are in the room. That way, you get the normal exp for your
side, but if you support your task force and keep your BBs alive and your CVs planes
flying you get more credits or something.

Make the credit reward for playing smaller ships greater. There is NO incentive to
continue to play a small ship once you get into something bigger other than to level a
different crew.

So.....

Larger Map - Good idea, based on number of players in the room.
More Ship - could equal larger map.

indeed, i'like that idea of midway too. Example: a attacking and a defencing team.
Example: the cv players that join the room as defending, they get one airstrip.
So there are like 10 airstrips or something on the midway island, so 10 (cv) players.
So the defending cv players ''transformate'' that battle in a airstrip(base)
But the planes that you set on the cv are the same on the airstrip if you join that room.
And the total of takeoff capacity of planes is still the same as the cv that that player
have.

Then again, don't all bombers have a life expectancy of 2 minutes?

It would be a nice twist, kinda like reenactments of Battle of Midway, etc.
However, only CV's could really do anything, as it would require a lot of time searching
for the enemy, and distances that only aircraft can cover. I like the idea though.

No.

There barely enough fuel on TBs DBs to make it across the BB range gap as it is. the
planes are pretty much on a suicide mission.

definately want bigger maps some rooms feel so squished now your almost always
crossing someone or getting crossed
