Update your drivers? Ensure that nothing is going on while playing NF. (Virus scanner, instant messengers, music player, ect...) Defrag your hardrive. Make sure there are no viruses on your computer sucking up your CPU. If you use windows, you should be able to alt+tab+delete your way to the task manager and see if someone is taking up your CPU. If it isn't something vital to your computer close it.
