i think what has happened here is a case of the appearing island. yes islands have been spotted stalking large ships ready to pounce when they are not watching. they take their eyes off their ship for 1 moment and the island appears beneath them stranding them for eternity. if you have any information on these nasty islands call 0800 appearing islands, or email [email protected]. there is a reward of 50,000 cents to anyone who gives info that helps catch these nasty islands.
