Thanks to all GB1 hosts that resulted in me getting Russian BB4 tonight, it helped the
grind a lot. :)

GB1s dont require CVs , thats why there have been a few going . 14 bbs and 2 dds and a gb1 will
start

I like gb2 simply because I like objective based play rather than deathmatches

You are taking into account only battleships. That is, if all the other players would
experience the same average waiting times as BBs do in gb2, gb1 would in fact be a better
choice. But because there is an abundance of BBs, CVs and others can (most of the time)
just join an already almost full room. The better choice for them is obviously gb2. CVs
therefore dictate the course.

Players do try setting up gb1 rooms and initially some of the others (BBs) join. But it
soon becomes obvious, that filling the room with CVs would take an eternity. This
demoralizes the less determined BBs and they leave, which leaves perhaps three determined
BBs to wait 10 minutes until the room is disbanded.

The only gb1's I've seen and witnessed starting lately are the ones sponsored by the
Chilean fleet, which is a nice move by them. 4/6 CVs were theirs and the game still
started in the last minute.

Your thinking is flawed. The exp output of GB1 IS better. You wont see it in 1 battle but
play 2 GB2s then see how many GB1s you can play in that time spent. Then you will see
which is better for exp.

This is flawed thinking. It is the equivalent of expecting water to start flowing upwards
if you ask it politely (or rudely) enough. Blaming it on players will solve nothing.

But playing only gb2 wouldn't bother me, if it wasn't for the unbearable and repelling
wait for cvs. I really hope the devs will do something about it. For example, balance the
exp output of gb1 and gb2 or remove the lower cv limit or make cvs more profitable to
play. Hope is wasted on the hopeless, though.

Lol, I still remember him telling me that instead of staying alive and playing properly
while asking CV's to scout, I should be quiet, fictory and move to the next game. Pretty
sure I have a screenshot somewhere...

Only because he doesn't like waiting 9 minutes for a room to get two CVs so it can start.

I think that was only during the event because it supposedly "Went against the normal flow
of the server" or something like that :-/
