same here.... black screen 4 or 5 times and crashes and the file download.... so tired :/

It is $DEs hackertool. It's comparing it's open file lists with the 'default' ones referenced on the $DE server.

The reason it crashes occasionally is because the hackertool is 'crummy' coded, much like the rest of $DEs software.

Pretty sure it's a hack shield file. No one knows where it is, not even SDE.

It would be easier for me to know what the name of the two files are and I will
create a program to delete the files before I run the launcher that way I wont waste
3 or 4 minutes with a crash and restart of the program.

Furthermore:

The file must be getting wrote to because I have checked every folder withing the
SD Enternet folder is there no file with that exact size...

It happens to me when I have Firefox open with a couple tabs.

No idea why but if you close the browser, then start NF, seems to work fine.

The mysterious file downloads are caused when the launcher fails to completly
load/download files.

Im not a tech guy at all, but Its not new content or anything, its just redownloading
files that are incomplete or something like that.

the crash most ppl get when they some times run NF and crash right after is due to an
error in the HS

when u see the launcher DL 2 files is the redownload of 2 HS files wich overwrites the old
one right away

but then again this is what i think it is so not 100% sure

only the TNF or some1 deep inside the NF team cna say for sure what they belong too
