  • Premium vs Not Premium

Hi all,

I would like to know if a player that doesn't buy anything from the store stands a
chance against a player that does.
The only thing that seems to make the difference (to me) are the sailor items. Does a
normal player with lets say +12 base and 80~100 vets (seems possible to achieve 100 vets
even without store items) stands a chance against one who has all sailors boosted, 100
vets and +13 base?

In the beginning i do believe a premium player has a clear advantage, but since theres
ability caps like accuracy, reload, etc, does the odds even in later stages in the game?

Thanks for your opinions!

yea everything is capped anyway,

the Ship and the FCS are more important than Sailors!!
just go for the unbalanced ships =/

but high stats allow you to land more shells per salvo and there will be
less "magical" miss

CV players have been keeping NF alive for years, buying tons of sailors item, to have
the best "fighters"
so as long as people pay, the planes are going better !!
so better that some are dodging AAW and resist AA ...

there are still lot of flaw /unclear stats

and this game is so overplayed !

Really the only difference that can have a crew base 11 to 13 is reached before the caps.
To 120 the base 11 as the cap 13 are as I said earlier and have more overheat is not to
see cap and base of engine and the higher the performance.

One could say that the player 120 a premium will have a slight advantage ...

My vision on this game is this: Firstly, i thought i cant stand a chance with willing to
pay $0 against payers. Now, i think you can compete pretty much(with some experience from
game of course).

I'd like to give you guys some tips, how to reduce your costs to minimum:

1. If you are brand new - buy prem. Maybe just for a month or two just to get you grip
with XP and experts(and also vet conversion).

2. play AA. This is only way of gaining experts. Even when you are RN/SN, play AA. It will
save you lot of money. I burned several times all my experts on conversion to vets and
regained them. It took some time obviously.

3. Wait with vet conversion for events ( like this one , which is in progress recently).
If you dont have prem, buy it just for this month, your XP and everything is boosted. You
cant have better utilisation than now. Burn all the experts you have to gain vets. 100 is
average, when you have reps/engies, 150 is fine. Fighters is another story. If you want to
be competitive with fighters , you need to overvet your crew(and this costs lot of
money/time).

4. Dont buy trash items. Just important ones. I guess moltke is must if you are KM player,
elite sailors are expensive and useless (except fighters), most of your +12 sailors will
hit caps anyway. BB/CV/SS starter packs i assume as joke from SDE to its paying customers.
You cant waste more money for nothing with those packs. Even boosts aren't 'must' in most
cases. Boost only most important sailors - fighters, engies.

Overall strategy for maximizing utilization of funds put in game: Gain as much experts as
possible via AA, wait for event, buy prem and burn all of experts you have. I guess most
ppl are doing this. With this you can make your crew decent and competitive

This is seriously one of the game, that freebie people get more if not THE chance
against people
who pay.

I am breaking the rules, but do play Subagame's company, where free people do not
stand a chance at all.

@ Adamai

Yes, actually in cv crews, for what i've read, there's no cap (especially for bombers), so
you would certainly profit from all the premium stuff. And engineers the same.

I'm actually interested in BB line. Repairrate and burnrate has a cap though. And you can
reach the accuracy cap rather soon too... I am lead to believe that, like Kilaenots said
and what it seems to be the general ideia, with wise management of events you can create
sailors as skillful as premium ones, in a pratical sense at least. You certainly have a
point with cv crews though.

Well glad you spend that much money, that's what supports the game anyway, i wish i had
the same resources as you =)

@ Adamai: You dont really know what it is you are talking about apparently. Every post you
make proves this point. I could show you my almost entirely free crews (maybe $20
invested) but it would probably blow your mind.

if you want to be competative then yes you will need to spend alot in the nf stores.

for example elite boosted vetted and experted fighter pilots for cv crews.. bare in mind
you need atleast 6 fighters 6 tb and 6 db to cover all bases..

this allows for you to fighter whore bomber whore and torpbomber whore.

also elite bve engineers enhance the speed of your ships and how long they can overheat
for meaning faster for longer and sooner.

also elite repairers enhance how fast your ships repair meaning more durability and a
longer life expectancy in battles.

elite bve gunners means more accuracy sooner rather than later.

now as you can see to be competetive you do actually need to use the nf store.

so far ive bve'ed all y fp's and bombers on my cv as well as some engies and a couple of
pairs of elite gunners and brought all the uk premium ships and a few km prem ships with
elite sailors to boot..

the result is roughly ?200.00 GBP speant, its probably a bit more im not really keeping
tabs and thats not counting premium subscriptions to get more xp faster.
useing the nf store definately contributes by alot.

cv crews have to be super vetted to compete on a competent level. otherwise your fighters
will just get wasted by every one elses ebve crews.

And if you are going to buy 1 thing for crew buy boosts, you can get vets and experts in
game, you can't get boosts (ok some are dropped in events).

I vetted one crew during last summers event and then vetted my fp with the everyday event
that followed the boost event. So you don't need to buy anything, I would suggest playing
events as much as possible though to make it easier.

My SN BB6 crew was created completely freely (apart from prem sub). I got all my sailors
up to 50-60 vets, from the experts you gain while levelling. It is perfectly fine, I took
a while to speedcap ships, and I didn't get 900SD to around lv 105. But the end result is
perfect.
