why cant we discuss our replies from the tnf support guys inreguards to game features that
sde/tnf say they cannot and willnot fix for various reasons..

what im getting at is there are lots of posts and comments about exploits and glitches and
people are just aimlessly talking about solutions when tnf/sde have already made their
posistion clear on some of them.

one of them being borderhumping which is the topic im refering to..

in theory preventing us from discussing these absolutely relevant replies to the topic at
hand in the correct forum for the issue of borderhumping is just pulling the wool of
peoples eyes!! they are all trying to find ways of solving this problem when their efforts
as far as im aware are invane based purely off the response i got to my support ticket on
the matter and the fact tnf just hidden the very reply i got which at the time i was
unaware that posting such replies of a private conversation with tnf about game exploits
and glitches was against forum rules.

seems to me they dont want people to know they cannot and will not fix game glitches.

the question is - why dont they want others to know about the things they say in support
tickets in reguards to their posistion on game issues and exploits, bugs and so on.??

lmao no one will ever get a problem solved while our conversations with sde/tnf are lets
say policed!! shall we.

edited after thread was locked. (if i dont do this i will have to make another thread
about the same subject)

ok so now the thread is locked. hmm

thanx for the answers aguys. however i dont really see the diffrence between copy pasteing
a reply and breaking the reply upinto my own words to say the same thing.

people genrally prefer the truth straight from the horses mouth!

and the reply did infact say you cant fix the problem because it would require to much work!

now i do beleive allowing people to dgo on and on in these topics is just
counterproductive anyway.. they are clearly wasteing their times.

or was my response simply that of a single moderator acting independently ? and tnf/sde
are infact planning on a fix to the borderhumping problem.

i think the guys would be happy to know these things.

Of course you can always discuss the replies and what has been said by TNF or SDE,
you can also politely ask to provide information in a thread so that some discussions
can be cleared (there is already a very recent thread where 2 TNF members have
been providing information on some rules).

However, don't mistake this open discussion with the rule that prevents people from
posting Private Communication on the forums. This rule applies to every
communication between 2 people whether it is between players, TNF, FM or SDE, not
only to private communication from SDE or TNF PMs. The rule is there because private
things are private and should always stay that way to prevent misinformation. You
never know what triggered a determined answer and showing only one part of the
communication doesn't show the context needed to understand where that answer
came from.

You can for example say "I asked and got a ticket saying they can't fix xxxx due to
xxxx". Your point is clear and no private communication has been shown.

Again, private communication between ANYONE is not to be shown on the forums...
the rule is very simple and it's there to prevent misunderstandings due to lack of
context.

The reason that you don't discuss your support tickets in public is that you don't air your dirty
laundry. What happens in private stays in private and you're welcome to disagree, provide
proof and communicate directly with whomever is helping you out on support tickets.

Enlisting the aide of players is counterproductive to addressing issues as they're not responsible
for game decisions. And it serves as a warcry for creating conflict which we seek to avoid.

Please use good judgement in knowing which battles to fight.

Basically what it is is that you can't copy and paste the exact reply (including the
signature of the GM or Mod that responded) on this forum or any private forums.

It has been made clear that you CAN, however, make a post stating that you did submit a
ticket, and the response you had received was in favor of the issue being worked on or
against the issue being worked on. Basically, if you paraphrase the response you got
without posting any actual quotes from the response, you should be alright and shouldn't
get into trouble. That's what I've been told to do in these types of situations, and I
haven't gotten in trouble with it since then :-)
