Damage from CA / BB caliber guns

Manteuffel	Hey all, I have always known that large caliber guns are supposed to do a whole lot of damage, but I have never seen pics or examples of what these guns do to other ships or targets. Does anyone have decent pictures of large caliber hits on ships? I would like to know what a hit from a shell really entails. For example, I have no idea if a bomb or a shell from a CA / BB is more powerful.

Manteuffel	Wow...that is actually much smaller than I thought it would be. I was always under the impression that such a large shell would be able to cause significant damage. Granted, that hole does not really show the explosive damage, but from that picture it looks like it would take hundreds of hits to destroy a BB.

jzuk	Erm... there are no percise values... but you're generally looking at: 8": 300-800 11"+: 1000-up per shell... of course... theres armour to take into account, different nations having different damage values... where and how the shell landed... i.e. You might be getting massive 1k hits per shell from a PS but on closing the distance the damage its dealling might just fall dramatically...

tyson420	if you play at about 10-midnight westcoast pacific time you can experience it yourself by watchin airind, laoji, carmelo, and of course myself :)
