Im not a mod or so, but I do know that killing other ships, or doing damage give 0 exp. its all about boxes. For a moment I thought one box gives 1k exp, but im not sure anymore.
Also I heard that killing/damaging your allies gives a exp-penalty. like doing 1k damage to an ally gives an penalty of 10%. (this is just an example!)
Bigger ships get more exp/creds. flagship gets also more.
