Yet another reason why some sort of balancing needs to be implemented.

Intead of having a friend join a game so you can kill him people now are bribing
players to come to a stacked game room so the host can benifit by being at low risk
of losing/dieing. This bribery may not be as clear as, " Oh I will pay ya X amount to
stay so I can kill ya, but may be more sinister by making it look like an event. High
lvs put up a "reward" to gain the interest of lower levels. Once again to no risk at
themselves and nothing but gain.

Once again we find that w/o a in game balancing system that actually balances the
attacking strength of one ship against another players have devised clever ways to
gain xp in the game to little or no risk to themselves. Seeing one team being clearly
way overpowering then the other especially when its the hosts team that is
showing the obvious greater strenght is in game terms unethical and immoral and is
not that much different from other offences that TNF has clearly stated being
bannable.

First off if I wanted to attack someone directly I would of. That was not the issue
here. The issue is the lack of in game balancing. This is a high concern to me and
from what i have seen over the past few months many others. From what it has
been stated TeamNF is trying to have the game ready for live on Dec. 05 which is
slightly over a month at the present time. It is illegal in games terms to set up an
arranged battle this is clearly stated, but wouldn't an experienced player know at
the same time that if X amount of lower lv ships vs a single higher lv ship has little to
no chance of winning. This calculation on the host part would be setting up an
arrange fight for his team to win. Most these fights even with the poor tonnage
balancing system are still far from balance.

Since his name was brought up in my thread I do not know or care if this was
Carmens intentions even though he had his first rule stating no gold bars or better
on the lower lv ships side. This could be looked at either trying to give other players
a fair chance at the reward or prevent a possible threat appearing on the other side.
Whatever reason he choose to do this is only truly known to him but I am sure he is
happy about his xp gain.

The whole point of this thread was to point out yet another flaw with this game due
to the lack of some sort of balancing feature that could be later used to exploit that
weakness for higher lvs to lure desperate lower lvs into a game so they can become
cannon fodder.

Since Op convoy was hinted by someone posting on this thread and people paying
players to stay, that should be a clear sign on why Op convoy needs to be removed
and redesigned so that ab games (whether at the start or during the match) can be
eliminated. Yes for all those who have played Ops it is frustrating when one team
retreats but that is the flaw of the design of it, is there is no reason for them not to
retreat. There needs to be some incentive even on a losing team to invest 30
minutes or more of game time to get your rear handed to ya and players found that
incentive by bribing the losing team. But once again how has that changed anything
from arranging the game prior to the fight where one team ends up gettting free xp.

Once again since the original forums are gone my suggestion to balancing fights is
to balance based on an attack value given to each weapon(guns/torps/planes).
Then adding all the weapons attack value's to give a player an overall attack value.
The in game balancing then would not allow a game to start when one sides total
value exceeds the other by a certain percentage. Also setting up team locks so
players are un able to join the already stronger team. Alot more options are capable
to help balance these rooms including giving the room master more power like
forcing team switches(players ultimately have the choice by tabbing whether they
want to agree to the switch or not). This really should be the #1 issue to be
resolved before releasing the game to gold( or #2 looking at how bad lag has been
recently).

Bwahahahaha DIE cash giving stacker of death!!!!!

-.-
You know I'd like to get 75k for sinking a BB.. even if I got sunk and didn't get it, it
would still be fun trying.
and can you blame carmelo? (I know he is why you are posting I connected the dots from
that thread to your post, which is a bash at carm more then anything else, seeing as he
JUST did one)
He has extra cash and people cap the rooms, so why not pay people to attempt to kill him?
Remember it's a game and things like that spice it up a bit by adding a bit of edge to it.
Nothing but fun.

viper i think your a bit of a conceded jerk.. i'm sorry to say. People bribe the other
people to stay because the rest of the opponents team left and they'd like some
halfway decent exp for waiting that long in a game.. that is not stacking.. that's
merely paying someone to not leave a game where all his teamates gave up..

Summary- people are finding ways to con the system when it comes to balanced
battles, so an auto balance system should be made to stop the crap.....
