experience question

hornball	ok here the question.. i have a torp sailor on one set of torp launchers.. and an armament sailor on another.. given they both do same damage.. why does my torp guy get soooo much less experience than all other sailors on ship??

Skipster	I noticed that, at least on US ships, torpers only get XP for damage from torps they fired. When I had my Atlanta with torps, a lot of games only one torper would get any XP.

seriousblack	obst only german gunners get exp for torps too.. other nations gunners will only get exp for using guns

obst	Because torpers only get EXP from torps while the Gunners get EXP from both.

hornball	bah thats lame.. so is it to my advantage to leave my sailors not upgraded then?to level them up quicker??

kevinj	because he is classed into a higher sailor... he gets an experience penalty...
