Kriegsmarine or US for AA?

okeanos	I've been looking around for info on this topic but most of it seems to have disappeared with the old forums. I know the US has aiming lines for AA, and are supposed to have superior AAW values for their ships. Given that germans get rapid fire dual 3" early on (level 12 I think) and can stick 5 turrets on a Z1, does the US advantage really outweigh this for early AAing? Or does the US only really come into its own with the AA CLs like the Atlanta an Juneau? Just asking because I'm thinking of setting up a second nation as a grind-relief and was hoping to make an AA ship. Thanks

panzer76	"fear the great us navy that won WW2" The US navy won WWII? Thats news to me. Perhaps you should tell that to the millions of dead russians, or the thousands of dead allied non-us, sailors that gave their life while the US navy was no where to be seen. Put a sock in your rah rah patriotic bullshot.

coplice	in my opinion, some of the best AA ship/gun: Z1 with twin 3.46" (lvl 30 AA gun) Z99 with KM40 (twin 5" lvl 42 AA gun) Dido with twin 5.25" (regular gun, but can load AA ammo, its range is great) Atlanta with twin 3" (probably cause cubone is good with it) fletcher with those twin 3" mustnt be bad either

boomjam	as a cv, i fear flak z1's far more then any other ship. although i do hate dbing us ships cuz i tend to lose the planes as soon as they pull up.

kevinj	yep, KM use the 88's and planes will fall before your might! thats right, us doesnt have best aa... some advantage.... as aaw doesnt stop planes from dropping their bombs
