  • Medic+seaman=?

Gump
so I wasn't sure what the answer was, and my search's on forums were crap. I am
one those types who likes a definitive answer to a question from someone who
knows (i.e. the mods and what not).

so I asked this question (via contact support which mods have told to use as an
outlet to ask questions)

--------

Is this a true statement?

"According to Gruven when he was head of ONF It is
either Medic or Seaman, the Seaman will
cancel out the Medic. Seaman have a slight medical
ability but nothing like a real Medic
has"

saw this in a post and want to verify this.

1. Do medic and seaman cancel each other out?

-------------------------------

This is the answer I got: Seaman does not have the medical ability. Once you
change your sailor to medic, then the medical ability
appears.

--------------

ok.. so the dude obviously didn't read the entire question, so I am going to post
this here in the hopes I can get a better answer.

so other than what people think is happening, there hasn't been any official word on it
that someone could point at?

if not, i'll continue to use in unison :D just hate the fact that there is a possibility they
dont and I'm wasting a slot.

edit--thanks for the input btw.

cool. see thats a big game changer for me one way or the other.. why I like "official"
answers..

another question I'm going to throw in--did subs get nerfed on the damage they
receive? I seem to get SMASHED just from one salvo compared to before.

Gump, as far as I can tell having used both in the past, they will NOT cancel each other
out. The seaman does his job, and the medic does his.

However, now that you cannot lose vets due to planes being shot down, I don't bother with
a medic any more. I can handle losing experts; it was the vets I never liked to lose. I
have a US medic which I don't use; for my KM CV crew, I didn't even bother with a medic.

well it depends on how far back your looking for a answer

as far as i can tell now my level 80 KM medic does nothing no change playing with or
without him on, but hes there to fill that crew space for the CV6.

they did change the death rate for shoot dows a while back so that may be why a medic has
no real point anymore.

as for seamen, they, i think, do help, mostly in dog fights, but again thats all down to
how i perceive it.

when playing with both together i see no change.

now ive been told medics DONT stack but seamen DO stack, but ive yet to try this out.
