nyerkovic	If you level them to lvl12 or higher and have them classed, you can sell them for credits and points in the trade system. There are elite sailors being sold all the time.

normpearii	Legally No, Secretly it happens all the time. Also this is in the game rules if you look around a bit. Also it would have been faster if you tried the forum's search function you would have gotten a faster answer.
