  • Premium vs Not Premium

Hi all,

I would like to know if a player that doesn't buy anything from the store stands a
chance against a player that does.
The only thing that seems to make the difference (to me) are the sailor items. Does a
normal player with lets say +12 base and 80~100 vets (seems possible to achieve 100 vets
even without store items) stands a chance against one who has all sailors boosted, 100
vets and +13 base?

In the beginning i do believe a premium player has a clear advantage, but since theres
ability caps like accuracy, reload, etc, does the odds even in later stages in the game?

Thanks for your opinions!

many things are capped anyway, 11 base, 13 base, who cares. as long as they have around
100 vets and more or less full experts u will be fine.

everything is fine with not prem,

ima free user but i manage to make my crew better, my supports already got 70-90 vets atm
without buying item not full expert though, my pilots got decent vets also at level 50
with 60-70 vets ^^

and this i can compete with prem user somehow :)

Its harder now then it used to be. Gaining experts from missions really helped cut down
costs. Once they removed that I started to think twice about new crews.

Do you have to spend alot of money to be competitive? No
Is it a pain in the ass to be a free player? More then ever

That dosnt mean you have to supervet your crew but you will suffer without spending
alittle bit every once and awhile.

Yes, i noticed =)

Still its rather fun or at least not as boring as other games to lvl up in this one.

The only thing that always made me a bit apprehensive was the store items and the
advantage they would give, otherwise i think its a pretty awesome game. =p

So long as you have a crew with 100 vets and decent bases (at least 11 is easy to get) you
are fine and anything down to around 80 is OK.

Vets are quite important at higher levels for repair rate and engine OH Time and OH Speed.
100 is standard, but having more doesn't help too much in the overall scheme of things.

All in all, using events wisely to get your veterans (first 60 are pretty much guaranteed
with a 100% extra vet conversion event) you can easily compete, but without a premium
subscription leveling takes a LOT longer.
