So here is it...the general balance thread where you can propose massive balance alternations. Keep in mind that you can't add new features or ships..... You can tweek ship and weapon abilities as well as the exp system.

Balance with respect to:
1. Ship strength at level in various game types
2. Exp Gain
3. Fun and specialization
4. Future ship line development

Hey dude, being gang-banged by noob Oyos' torps...now that really isn't fun. I felt a whole crap load dumber as a CV user. ATM I really wished my Ryujo would transform into my nimble little Fubu and show them the true essence of torping.

Anyways, they need to work on the balancing of the nations powers. UK vs US vs IJN vs KM. Sure at lvl 89 KM H39s are probably the strongest BBs since they have great range, and Yammy's rule the sea; but the grind in between for the two countries is TOUGH. I mean, if KM was supposed to be great gunners, then why the shitty spread? IJN is tough (mind you, not "sucks") if you use the gunship route, and a long grind if you use the CV route. US is...I'm not sure. I have no grudge against UK since they are supposed to have great crews and great armor, but might want to soften up the armor a little perhaps? I mean, if you've noticed, most of the CL1s are dominated by Sirius (yah go on about US with HA, but a lvl 37ish US HA would probably hit the HA dmg 3 shots per volley on a Sirius while the Sirius, taking that damage, gets in close and pounds the Atlanta to death while the Atlanta, unable to use HA, does a measly 70 dmg per hit), the CAs by York, and of course the scary UK BBs Nelson, KGV, and POW.

Keep TWs and walls... those players aren't going to be masters of guns or CVs soon.

And lastly, please up the experience gain, this is a great game and I don't mind p2p (if price is reasonable) since I have a pretty stable job, but grinding now is too tedious. And to think I want to hopefully see Akagi...from where I am now (lvl63) that would take a long long time. So please raise exp gain to about 3 + times the rate it is now...please.

I'll start:

US:
Give NH more gunspace
High Lv US torps should have space requirements reduced. (to fit DDs)

Brit:
Lower Br torp launcher weights
Reduce Q dp (haha, new solution to Q...dodging shells is fun, but whoring is not)
Remove Nelson 14" block
Reduce Renown displacement and armor ratio. (aka make its armor cheaper, but keep it the same max thickness)
Reduce lv33 6" duals levels to lv28 (waiting for guns suck, I know)
Increase ROF to 5.25" duals by 15%
Reduce RP12/RP12s damage to 14" Br levels

IJN:
Major boost to 6.1" triples, with reload reduce from 4.1s base to ~3s base or less, as well as range increase to km 5.9" levels
Increase to Agano Arm space to 35
Mogami CA gets its CL gun angles
IJN 14" gets -20 gunspace reduction, 14"L gets RP12D range, and damage increase to Br 14" levels...

KM:
Reduce 5.9" triples tight spread ability requirement to be around full ability lv38, but remove perfect block ability.
Reduce Z99 gunspace to limit it to 5.9"L duals
Increase displacement on kberg by 2000ton (if you can't think of a way to bal a boat, make it AW...I guess)
Increase KM14.96" (1st set) to US 16" duals levels

I would get rid of torp splash or end-of-range detonation, for many reasons. Here are some of them:
1. Torp exp gets significantly more than gun exp. This is because not every point of damage with guns is long range, where it earns most exp. Torps essentially get the same amount of exp as other guns of equal level get AT MAXIMUM ANGLE with the same attack. For proof, look to the people. What does someone do if they need to level up a couple pilots or a BO really fast? THEY GET A FUBU AND TORP WHORE.
2. Torpedo whoring ships easily get TWICE the amount of attack per game as a gun-using ship of the same level. Kitakamis can consistenyl get anywhere from 40k to 70k attack per big battle. BBs and BC of the same level can't match that. Ever see an Alaska get 40k attack? 70k? No. Ever seen a kita get that? Constantly. That makes it so torp whores get FOUR TIMES AS MUCH EXPERIENCE PER BATTLE AS GUN USING SHIPS. Thats right. Fubus level faster than akitsukis, simas faster than Edinburghs, Kitas faster than BBs and CVs. Can you deny any of this?

Now, removing splash wont help enough to balance, but its certainly a start. I personally think that Kitas should be removed, and I sincerely hope that Simas NEVER come into stock in vancouver.

NOTE: NO, I am not just a pissed off person who just logged into the forums after getting killed by a fubu in the first 30 seconds of the game, so DO NOT come and post "Oh learn to dodge" or whatever. That doesn't help. I am honestly concerned with the balance of this issue, and the future it may spawn if it remains like this.

GET RID OF TORP WALLS.

With me and two CVs left, I was hoping for a valiant last stand against inumberable odds while the carriers made a run for it.

What I actually got was a wall of torps laid down with NO escape route.

If you ask anyone who's not a TW themself, you'll get the same response: Being hit with a torp wall is NOT Fun.
