A couple of recent cases have involved problems where loaned sailors have been
taken/removed/traded/dismissed/not returned. I have been asked to clarify to all
that
loaned sailors will not be forcibly recovered by TeamNF or SDE. This includes issues
where sailors are loaned to a shared account and anyone with access to that
account passes
them on or even dismisses them.

In effect, if you are not 100% sure of who you are lending your sailors to, or you
cannot
afford the risk of not getting them back, then it is advisable to reconsider the loan in
the first instance.

"Also, once again, no second password given out. "

Wow, this is a momentous occasion. One of the first EVER occurences of someone being
hacked in NF... Do us all a favour...

If they share the first password that is account sharing.

*Vick you shouldn't even need to post this, you can't cure stupidity, you should know this
best. *

yeah. . SDE is incurable!

However you look at it vick, stolen sailors are stolen sailors and therefore should be
returned to their rightful owner regardless of being on a shared account or not.

<Side note>

If no second password is given out (therefore only the account holder knows the second
password) and somone manages to guess the second password, what would you define this as?
Hacking? Or something else?

Continual education is worth the effort though if it saves just one case.

@Splid: :) unless you have visual proof of them saying they were in full knowledge about
the sailor at the time of purchase, which is the case here, then yeah it would be hard to
get someone to admit that. Then again, you have to remember, some people are not very
bright, and sometimes that works out in favor of justice. Like I said though, you would
have to have the full story to understand how well documented this all was. Also, once
again, no second password given out.

People who give out PWs and SECOND PWs and come back to find their stuff gone deserve all
they get...

As for trading sailors, you would be very hard pressed to find evidence that someone
bought sailors knowing they were "stolen" or otherwise. Where will that evidence come
from? The person selling the stolen goods who wants to implicate themselves, or the
person buying the stolen goods who wants to implicate themself?
