I swear this is the last suggestion for a while......

Ok, so you know the routine, 4 ships that will pretty much be the best AA ship for the
nation.

Features - Best AA ship of that nation., Large DP to allow for beefier crew.

IJN : C - Type AA Mod Standard - 7150t Max - 9200t 34knots
24 - 100mm/65 (12x2) DP
12 - 25mm (4x3)
100 DC

If the Hull looks similar than you have a sharp eye. The C-Type cruiser is one of those
Japanese plans that never made it too far off the ground. It is the same hull as Mogami.
Mogami was another mod of the C-Type. A whole series of ships based off a single hull that
would fill specialized roles in the main fleet. In this case, a heavy AA ship, using a
large number of the best IJN AA gun of the war. In game, she will be beastly. Of couse
if it was built they'd be rather top heavy...but whatever. She will require no tweaking
to make her suitable in game.

USN: Worcester Class 13,000 t - 33knots
12 - 6in DP (already in game)

Hrmmmmmm, these guns look familiar. I always wondered what ship they went too, thought
maybe SDE made them up or something. They are very fast, and look super sweet as
well...I'm gonna name mine Roanoke just because it's way more awesome.
_________________________________________________________________
KM - Undine - 4400t - 16 knots
8 - 105mm

Hey now.....I mean come on. If I can use an Emden, why woudl I want to pay for this
thing? Simple. Becasue in NF, ships don't have thier historic armament, and they tend to
be way faster than they are IRL.....So SDE will just bump the gunspace up on them so they
can use the 3.46"/ 76 Sk C/32, and these would be Better than the Emden.

UK - Cavendish Class - 9750t - 30 knots
7- 7.5in (2 in wing mounts)

Hmmmm, It's pretty much an emerald...only much much larger. Way larger actually. Which
means I can put a full crew on it. (what did you people expect, it's UK AA)

___________ OVERVIEW ________________

You need to take the historic specs with a grain of salt. The premise is to provide Hulls
that then mount the nations best AA weapon.

History is important, but once BB6 and 30 knot subs enterd the frame, it became apparent
that History didn't matter to much. Only 2 of these ships will need tweaking to make them
competitive, which is better than some things being added.

The ships will also have a VERY high AAW rating over other ships, as well as enough DP to
mount a full high lvl crew on it. Current AA ships can't do that.

As far as putting it in game, the C-Type could just be a mod of the Oyodo sprite, no new
guns need to be made for any of these.

Price - yep, SDE gotta make monnies after all. 3 - 4 USD should suffice for the Best AA
ship of a nation, yes?

Very good idea. The problem with AA CLs right now is the limited displacement. Making it
difficult to fit much crew with a fat pair of gunners.

"So why she better than emerald if she has one less turret? Well for starters, Emerald has
a Wing turret, which is off center (duh) so that already messes up some things. But since
you're paying for this one, it'll have increased DP for beefy crews and suc."

Minor correction here - Emerald has seven turrets, two of which are wing turrets; it can
bring six to bear on most angles. Prince Robert would have two less turrets than Emerald,
and the same number as the Sirius.

Perhaps one of the other WWI light cruiser classes that saw WWII service would work
better than a converted Canadian passanger ship. The Danae class/D class cruisers, with
6x6" single mounts, would probably be pretty solid AA ships if 2x5.25" RP10 Ls could fit
in them.

EDIT: Possibly a better one, compared to what KM and IJN would get, is HMAS Adelaide, a
1914-vintage Birmingham class light cruiser refitted in 1938-1939. 9x6" singles in initial
configuration, 8x6" singles in 1939 configuration. Weapon space and sky arcs for each
mount would have to be exaggerated quite a lot to make it balanced with the others, obviously.

whats the point, atlanta will still do a better job, emden will remain king, you can
use a mogami or myoko and emerald will still do a better job, btw, sirius could do a
quite decent job because of 5 turrets and its small..

oh wait a USN battleship converted into a AA ship..god no, btw uss wyoming could
be usn's new prem battleship with its original bb set up of course

I like this idea, nf can make money and we get more AA ships (always useful).

Recc'd. If every suggestion was as well researched and presented as this, maybe the devs
might actually come here once in a while.

Tom - Valid point, but I think I wasn't clear enough. By larger gun, I meant she'd be
able to use the 3.46"/ 76 Sk C/32 Dual Barrel. Historically she only used a singe barrel
version. It's hard to see in that picture so heres another

Even this it's hard to tell, but 8 of the 9 centerline guns would be mounts in game. (the
farthest aft and the wing turrets are all smaller caliber)

So that means you get 8 mount broadside of a very good AA gun over the Emdens 6 mount
broadside (5 forward firing as well). Increased Disp for heavier crews, higher AAW rating,
and more hitpoints.

The same principal is to apply for all 4 of these ship. Is it that super amazing, no not
really, but as far as an AA ship goes These would be the best for their nation. (least
that is thhe goal)

So for 3 or so dollars you get a very good AA ship. Useful? Well I see a few potential
buyers being.

1 - AA Players : Some people love playing AA, simple as that.

2 - Regular HA players: As they can hold high lvl crews, and it's a prem ship (meaning t
doesn't take one of the limited dock space numbers) they would buy it and let it sit
there. Then when their primary ship is done, the use the AA sihp

3 - The curious player : It's something new, after people see someone decimate in it, they
will buy it themselves.

4 - The player who wants to try it over the PCL : They wouldn't make horrid gunships, easly
could Armor some of them, speed whore the others, then pummel with a constant volley of
light caliber guns and the occasional smoke bomb. (currently done in blitz to devastating
effect)

5 - They players who didn't like this idea : They don't think they are needed, that they
will be overpowered, or maybe they just said "no" without any reason. But when they see
another player using it, and everyone else buying it....they may change their mind.

*NOTE - These ships just provide many AA gun mounts, you still have to be able to aim the
guns yourself.

Of those.
1, 3, 4, 5 would provide the "trickle" profits. Namely the steady stream. 2 would be the
"surge" profits, when players are prepping for HA and start freaking out, or trying to
find a way to contribute.

..........................I'm gonna clean up the post to be more clear, but hopefully that
made sense....

What difference does it make for KM?

I think the big km aa-guns are not simply better, its more a question of personal
preference.
