Ahh, sorry about the HMS. Harrington, lol, the person that told me about it had it wrong.
:P And the real name I forgot. :/ But I still like to use HMS. Harrington, seems like a
ship that could have happened.

Oh so she was HMS Drake, Torpedoed in october '17 by U79.
Was virtually an enlarged Cressy.
Cool, like the pic man. I should get off my bum and find a nice little one for myself. ;P

1): probably because they were older. revamp the old queens and you get 5 *new*
battleships for the price of an upgrade. instead of building 5 brand spankers. which
at the time was very hard for a post war govt to do. that and the Revenge class
were newer and didnt need refitting as much as the QE to keep them in fighting trim.

2): answered by DaVinci. good to see ppl taking interest in this kinda stuff well done
and thx.

3):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lion_class_battleship will give you some idea of the
Lion class BBs.

2: What were the other Admiralty class BCs(hood) names if they were built as planned.

HMS Anson, HMS Howe and HMS Rodney. All cancelled in 1918.

As far as historical discussions are concerened- i have several nagging questions...

1: Why were the QE class BBs the ones they "modernized" between the two World Wars when
the REVENGE class BBs were the newer ones at that time?

2: What were the other Admiralty class BCs(hood) names if they were built as planned

3: Anybody have a website/reference for the HISTORICAL LION(the one planned but canceled
for WW-II).

Shiro013 i have never heard of the HMS Harrington. perhaps you could find some
history to the name.
Im glad you like the topic. i find that using real life names kind of makes it a little bit
historical. even though you can find 6" guns on a Q class! or dual 8" on an edin!
hope this topic is helpful to all. i enjoy hunting about for stuff like this. and
discussing historical points of view.

Oo, wow. Always good to see people using real names for there ships, and not stupid ones
like, "Shoot here". Personally, I use real ship names. Most popular one for me, was the
HMS.Harrington. Which I belive was an O class destroyer. Not positive though.
