The Big Exp MO/Jedi leadership got it down to a T. I know there's Panda's guides as well, along with others I don't know of, but these stick to mind:
Target Priority. The BB6 over the BB4 being the example. Situational Awareness. You may have godlike aiming but it's useless if you get sunk by a sub or a BB that you didn't account for. (a fleetmate's weakness, he knows who he is :P ) Knowledge. Knowing what the enemy BB can and can't do. Super Yamato AA avoidance, or just staying out of the way of Lyon/Fuso unless he's already too close. Knowing when to AP and when to HE, watching enemy speed to predict deck armour. Dodging Bombers. This is crucial to solo survival.
What puts me in a good position is knowledge and situational awareness. Those aren't as good when I fight a player with lethal aiming accuracy, but when I get high attack it's when I scythe through BB's in the correct order, or successfully flank the enemy. My highest Montana scores are due to me taking out a flank and trapping the rest of the enemy BBs. I can fully utilise the Soyuz even though it's slow, by focussing on it's strong points. I have no 'best BB', but several favourites. :)
