  • Which EBB is Best

  I'm bad with how the numbers impact gameplay especially with BBs since I am primarily a SS player.
Because I am not much of a gun player, I typically like the smaller, hard hitting ships which pust me in a real quandry now that they have announced the new EBBs.  I want a good BB that I can just play around with when bored with subs.  
     Do I want hthe Mutsu, which appears fun, but costs more bingo points, or the Hyuga which has always been a beast?  Will my higher level supports overwhelm the Mutsu?

    I know all of these questions are in general, things will change according to the ship setup.

     Mutsu has more engine space and less size than Hyuga.  Does this mean it is faster?
     Which turns better?
     Both have same R-slots, but Mutsu is 6000 tons less space.  Can they both carry the same 16"L's comfortably?
     The Mustu has more FCS -- does this mean it sees farther?
     
      Bottom line (I think), tell me if I am right.  

          Hyuga hits harder because of more R slots but may have more spread.  Hyuga has more room for higher sailors or armor.  Hyuga has slightly bigger T-slots (for what?  I don't know -- more AA ammo??

          Mutsu is smaller and faster

          Both ships are designed for the same guns, so same gun range.  

         I know if the Mutsu was 3000 bingo points I would take it, but its hard to pass up a better ship for less money (though it might not be as fun).  What do you guys think?

Imo it's still the Hyuga.
It didn't get tier'd up  for no reason so it's like asking if Ise is better than Kongo.
Well yes it is.
Sure it got slowed down (it apparently is slower than Mutsu) but it also has 50% more firepower to its name and noone wants to be shot from high angle with 12 16" depleted uranium shells... even if they don't update the FCS to its tier (apparently Mutsu did get a BB FCS2 despite essentially being a BB3

Then again i consider Nagato as the most fun i had in the IJN line... but i stopped using it because Hyuga offered the same and more.

Mutsu isn't faster, it goes 39 knt max (not sure about hyuga but iirc it was something like 39 or 40)

Both can use same guns (dual 16" L, type 3 or 90, ur choice)
Both have 7 support slots

Hyuga requieres higher BO lvl, has more life and 6 guns, while mutsu has only 4 main guns but better FCS (what means better spread)

I'll get the hyuga, great range, great firepower, and higher lvl (for lvling purposes), and since it's an "old" EBB, cheaper than mutsu (same like KM O-Pro-II, a great ship, boosted and considered 'old ebb')

But those little battleships look so much fun.  And the Mutsu has more FCS space -- doesn't that make it better?

Hyuga tbh. Hyuga spread isnt that bad. Can 1 shot almost everything if you play it right. But just advice, do not use AA on Hyuga its a waste of slots. Put 2 Repair on T slots and another on support slot then 5 eng and a scout. Those slots are the same as yamato slots so you might as well level for yamato and probabbly SY. 

Plus Hyuga is cheaper than Mutsu but require higher level BO but I think BO level can be level easily since it's only at level 84 ( correct m if im wrong ) Not too bad.

If Mutsu going 39 OH then Hyuga is better as well. Hyuga can mount more guns and still goes at 39 OH. So which you prefer ? More firepower or less firepower since its the same OH speed. Your choice.

I loved Hyuga with the Mikasa guns and 51knts. But with the recent change they made it 6knts! slower in this config so it makes no sense anymore to do that. Very sad..so the only real option for Hyuga are the long 16ers with a decent punch...sadsadsad..another "funship" gone down the drain =*(

Ebb Hyuga makes 39 knot with type 90 16" (3 binds of ammo max, no AP needed for type 90) and 42 with 14" Ls (using 4 HE/2 AP).

 

I have both Hyuga and Haruna and tbh I have more fun with Haruna.
