I would greatly appreciate if anybody can give tips or advice on how to minimize spread. Like what level should a gunner become or it has something to do with the number of experts/ vets among recruits or the sailor should be way above the level of the current gun being used. Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly, acc cap is somewhere around 1 460 000 true ability.

Spread greatly depends on your FCS. Also note that each gunset has its own accuracy parameter.

Meh I don't know how BB players survive as they skip the all important BB1s and go straight to the BB3 :\
(I mean, X on the target for pete's sake!)

Gunners

Simple put, the more experts/vets, the better your gunner
(make sure to keep your rookies full as well)

And for most guns you should start getting decent(IE less than half your ship length for BB, ship length for DD is 5-8 lvls) about 8-10 lvls over the gun lvl

Try maximizing vets to get you to the cap, and experts to fill in the ability bar.

I heard having your gunners a couple levels over the gun and Bridge Op. Also makes accuracy/spread better
along with allowing your Bridge Op. to spot the shells.

USE MANUAL. Auto.. just no.

And. Learn your gun angles. If you learn them, and almost memorize them (Oh hey there BB, that would be 45 Deg.)
It makes you a lot more deadly and precise. = High Attack.

lol BB angle is NOT 45(mine is 30 :P)
BB angle for 45 deg guns can be 45-25

although quite frankly you should choose a gunset(45deg or 30deg) and stick with it.

once you've used that gunset enough, you can take any gun and hit your target on the second shot for the first battle and first shot on the second battle

not all guns got 30 deg

most ijn bb guns got 45 degree same as sn
km bb2-3 (14.96"(?) got 30 degree) while 11" got 40 degree, 16"(h39) got 34 degree(?) and 16"(h44) got 37 degree and kaiser got 40 degree
on MN it got 35 degree, 40 degree and 30 degree guns

the only bb got 20 degree angle is the ebb1 new york :D

again as I said, look for a group of guns that use a specific max angle and stick with that group

Accuracy cap changes by level, increasing until 120. Capped gunners at lvl 80 will not be as good as capped gunners at 120.

Gunners should always be ahead of the ship level and realistically BO level. There really is no set amount of levels, however by BB4 I STRONGLY recommend 2 levels at minimum above or you will be using the wrong gunset for 2 levels. Remember as well, that 5-10 levels ahead at DD/CL level is no where near 5-10 levels ahead in later levels.

Boosts, Vets and Experts will help at lower levels, but become unneccesary at later levels on gunners. I've done a nebby crew with unboosted 11/11 gunners with 100 vets, and the lower levels can be somewhat of a struggle but at the end of the day I was happy not to put 10-15 Dollars into each of the gunners.

Gun angles are not going to improve your spread, this is related to the gun set, FCS and gunners Acc ability and level.

For anyone that will play multiple nations, it is important to get used to various angles. For anyone planning to play in general the same applies. Those players that work to better their angles will take advantage of those that only know their max angle. Counter rushing is a successful tactic because it forces players to adjust their angles and many are not used to it. Be it 15 (new york is 15 not 20), 20 (sn), 30 (KM/RN), 40(multiple nations) or 45 (IJN/US) you will have to get used to it at some point. And bear in mind 45 Yamato is not the same as 45 Iowa/Monty, nor are they the same as Amagi. They are close but those last 5 degrees all act somewhat different. As you play HAs it is really important to be able to adjust between even extreme angles (QV 30 degree and then playing Amagi 45).

I didnt realized that... 1.46M is it only for my lvl 98 gunners...
It goes 4706 * lvl + 1'000'000 ...
So for lvl1 is acc cap 1'004'706, for lvl120 it is 1'564'720 true ability.

Number of vets and experts is important for reaching cap. After you reach cap, your acc wont get better no matter how many vets you have.

Example:
I have 2 french gunners, both lvl 73, acc base 11
1st is boosted, has 110vets and 248experts, his true ability is 1'479'888
2nd is not boosted (im collecting olives :D), has 130vets and 216experts, his true ability is 1'295'360

... cap for lvl 73 is 1'343'538 true ability.

Lvl 120 gunners.

Adalbert guide is outdated, and some details are unvalid after post cap patch.

Wow, a lot of information up there. Not sure if I can process them all. But I really do appreciate everyone that contributed to this thread.

I am very tankful to have experienced players like you always here to help. I just hope you won't get annoyed with these "noob"-ly questions of mine. :P
