  • How to increase speed?

I've seen plenty of BB5 and BB6 running some sort of non-standard/gimped setup to gain speed. Well 2 extra knots can make a difference especially when this high shell damage high range nation is supposed to be balanced by being slow.

How much tonnage would someone need to trim and is a special delay classed crew required?

4 binds used out of 5 for BB5 and BB6, it is as effective as 5 binds for the other nation.
It is the only few exception that bind can be saccrifice without screwing yourself much.

4 binds for 47 salvos, vs 5 binds for 50 salvos.
You decide if it's worth.

BB6 should weigh 77958 tons to go 37 with .2 belt which is around 1650 tons trimmed from taking off 1 bind on each gun reduces weight by 945 tons what ever is left is taken off the crew.

BB5 should weigh 62213 tons to go 39 with .2 belt which at level is easy just take 1 bind off each gun at level 120 you got to trim about 500 tons off crew on top of taking 1 bind off each gun.

Delay classing comes down to your reps crazy reps you wont have to but decent reps you will need to delay class. By crazy reps you will need like 250+ vets and elite if you have 3 and maybe 200+ if you got 4.

EDIT: Had 77598 tons should have been 77958 tons

On BB6 though I choose to remove and extra bind on the rear gun instead of skeletoning my crew even more. I run 3 HE/1 AP on front guns and 2 HE/1 HE(not AP) on the rear gun.

I reccoment you over vet your gunners and remove as many rookies as possible and take some off the scout as well, the downside is that you wont have a very good reload in WAW but SN isnt that great in WAW anyway...

39 Knots is too much for SN SS5.5 tbh

You may try to use some kind of a lag/packet loss hack or smtg like that to go 40knots on a soviet bb6/ss6.

Or put on some nuclear reactors to power your ship.

Really... 39 knots is too much for BB6 or SN SS5.5
