Howdy

I have been mulling something around in my head for a while and would like some 2nd opinions.

I have started by playing UK (Rovay Navy) and own 2 ships, a Edinburg and an Emerald, each with their own BO. I was going to get a Revenge and a Renown but now im thinking I would rather try the submarines since im a fan of sub sims like Silent Hunter.

My problem is im poor so I have to decide to get the H Type or the County. Should i get the County and Grind in Blitz to get the money back? or just go with the H Type and have fun?

since you have 2 Bo, the one that will go to renown line can choose between york and h type, your other BO that chooses Edinburgh can't choose the H type anymore ( you need to buy a BO reset, or create a new BO to go sub line)

you could still play dido/sirius, emerald, and uk dds with the BO that gone to sub line, and skip ss1(lvl 37), go for ss2(lvl 47)

I understand how the ship tree works.

What i cant decide is should i get a County and grind to get the money for a H Type OR Just get the H Type and grind for the County.

Torpedo based ships give you little or no credits/points. Subs are also limited in terms of extra leveling slots.
You should consider those things before choosing. In fact, I think every player should do a BB line first then
do a sub (god forbid) as a secondary ship. You can easily level the entire SS crew on a CA/BB etc and just
use the supports on the sub as well.

Also NF subs play nothing like SH subs.

Get the County, after you can't enter blitz anymore, play some GB and observe some of the sub play style there.
If you still think subs might be for you, only then PL a sub BO to at least SS3 and lvl the planesman+sonarman.

.. well then same here to me, get a bb first... and observe other like ss player and cv player how they play and you could also try asking for help if you really need one...

and i don't know if you really like the ss of RN, but i would suggest picking KM(good for sub vs sub), IJN(good for sinking ships),MN(cute ss1 and ss4 :D, great deck guns if you really want to use it)... cause i heard in the past that RN subs sucks -.-

and just like mako said, torp xp is crappy (sub, ships that use torps, torp bombers)

without downright "sucking" RN and USN subs are inferior to KM and IJN's one.

At any rate, you probably don't have a crew to use the sub anyway.

I'd be willing to bet you better check your BB crew too.

You should have

6-7 engies
3-4 reps (I suggest 6/4 for a balanced setup)
1 scout

No need for a restorer for BBs (especially UK) since you hit the SD cap with your supports soon enough.
