hey i was planning to make a ss crew, but im not sure what is the prioritize base for torps is it rel ability or torpedo ability?

Reload is only for guns, i.e. useless for your torpedo man. Torpedo is what you are looking for. Other interesting stats are repair and restore on your torpedo man, because your supportslots are quite limited on a sub.

Get a elite torper (to save space since torp reload caps kinda soon and sub displacement is meh)
Or a 11/12 with good repair/restore (preferably both)

Basically every single sailor should be good at repair and restore... with the probable exeption of the planesman whom you may want to be a Potential Elite.

Either elite repairer or elite restorer is best torpedoman. Torp reload caps early and both repair and restore come at a premium for subs.

Depend if he wants to BVE them or not.


But I'd also go with repair, or restore as the main ability.

Sonarman also seems to cap out early, so I,d take a good rep stat for that too.

Same for BO, as you dont need long guidelines for a sub.

That said, the last one is kinda not really important, as sub BOs are typically massively thinned, like TW, since weight is quite the limiting factor.
