Windows 7 - 64 bit:

After starting the new client my aero desigen was shot down. All possible attempts at solution were in vain; only the system recovery has helped.

 

Thank you for this great update and the nice time, which I now with the solution of this problem could spend. Nice work again from our gifted programmers. You should mention this great bug right on the steam platform as a special experience of the NF gameplay.

Lol tg14 - and what about the other threads about bugs and crashes in this forum?

Who - whose name I do not even know - are you, that you give me the advice to write a ticket?
Everyone here knows that tickets are not answered or only after weeks of waiting times.

I wrote this thread for all other win 7 64 bit users - so they did not crush their system as it happened to me. I do not need anyone to tell me what and how I have to write here.

There is a solution besides system restore. Took a long time to figure it out.

1) right click your desktop
2) Choose 'Screen Resolution'
3) Advanced Settings
4) Choose monitor tab
5) Change High Color to True Color

Hi Reaptor:
I'm on Win7 64 bits and never had this issue you seem to face. Maybe yo had set 3rd and 4th options on "Compat. tag" on NF exe file, and that deactivated your windows aero.

And about TG, he is right, but don't take it so badly. Looks like a good advise.

I am using Window 7 with 64 bit.  I started the game and it was normal.  The game downloaded the patch automatically and I did not do anything.  First game was fine.  Second game crashed.  Then, I read the forum and changed the exe file in the NF folder to Win XP compatible.  After that, I tried a few more games.  It has been fine after that (knocking on wood). 

Hope you can find a solution. 

 

Updates: I had a few more crashes, about the same frequency as before the patch.   

Clarification: My computer already has those Microsoft Visual C++ files installed from other games.
