I think if it hits you you will need belt, if it explodes around you, you will need bulge.

test this your self in game

:white damge = deck hit
:Green damge = belt hit

sooo when your in game try and notice wat colour you c the most off if green put belt if white deck

1) speed(against getting hit))
2) deck armor(against long range/high gun angle hits)
3) bulge armor(against minor underwater explosion)
4) belt armor(against close range/low gun angle hits)

We did a fun match with BB5 with only HH and no guns. I super armored my H44 in deck and belt and bounced everyone xD.

Depends on what kind of ship you run, if your in DD, torpedo and run, in a CA, range it with guns and run, in a BB, seriously, how did it get in range in the first place?
