Redoing the music for the Italian harbor:

E lucevan le stelle

    or

Nessun dorma?

Ennio Morricone.  The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.  =P

A very worthy suggestion, I was thinking of this, but I did not really considered it to be " Italian" other than the movie and the composer ( who I think is one of the finest film score writers of all time).

That being said, there are two outstanding pieces from that film, so, which one?

( think the way it was presented at the end ( Trio) is a little better.

The last two tracks off The Good, The Bad and The Ugly are some of the best Morricone options.

Nino Rota would be another great pick.  I could list so many for both of those guys but I don't have the time to type them all right now.  But the theme from Fortunella would be a great, if hella sacrastic, choice.

Gabriel Yared's "Crazy Tom" from The Talented Mr. Ripley is one of my favorites.

Certain portions of The Godfather, Part II would be very fitting.

If you want to go really bizarre, give Nico Fidenco's La Ragazzina a shot.

Back to Nino Rota, consider the Catwalk theme from 8½.

Oh my gosh, now I'm getting all excited.  I'll leave for now before I get too obesssive.

If I had to choose, it would be between these lines.
Peter speaking Italian - Griffin.

Tu vuo fa l'Americano - Renato Carossone.

Or if your taste haven't found them apealing enough.
Requiescat in Pace - Ezzio Auditore.
