I had this same problem also.
I hope this works for you also...

after the automatic patch, it still says version conflict...
go to the main download page

https://fm.en.navyfield.com/Download/Game/Main.aspx

and download and apply the " Patch Download "

after this short fix , i was able to log on.

If you are using windows 7, there will be a pop-up giving youa warning of this program not being downloaded often or some BS, just click actions and run program anyways

When I click it, I got error message FILE NOT FOUND.

ya. Likewise. I tried the patch before even coming here to see if I was alone in my issue. Im not planning to un install and re install. I'll be playing something else. I'll deal with the NF frustration later on.

**edit- decided to try and log on one more time before moving on. Launcher DL'd a 1300kb file slow as molasses and then all was well.
