I haven't logged on in a couple months now. I still have a love for the game but there just isn't enough people who care and understand this game that actually have the power to make the changes it needs.

After playing a certain tank game I realized something this game is seriously lacking. When players are sunk, they shouldn't feel obligated to sit around in that battle room to receive full benefits. They should be able to return to the harbor where the ship that was just used and will appear as being in battle and unusable.

How would this improve NF?
1. Players would play different tiers and classes of ships. Not so many rooms flooded by BB5/CV5.

2. Less waiting. A huge killer for NF is the time spent in a waiting room. More players would leave their current battle and play a different ship even if it's just to pass the time.

3. Less frustration and focus. Certain players take this game way too seriously. And why shouldn't they with how the current gameplay style is? Currently you wait over 5 minutes to play a BB in a GBII, then if you get raped or your team fails uncontrollably you get pissed. It's natural.

4. More players available to spread among battles. Introducing a patch with this would be like tripling the player base since everyone would be out fighting instead of being afraid as hell to die or complaining at their team from a sunk ship.

I blame smoke bombs.

Removing smoke bombs would be about as effective at stopping this game's decline as trying to get to the center of an iceberg with firecrackers.

I always keep asking myself: Why would I always play buggy 2-D sprite based game?

I haven't been able to play since the HS compatibility issues a while back, and after a few weeks of issues (even after the fix), I was still unable to effectively play. I enjoy the community (that was, at least), and fondly remember the moderately-broken period a few years back.

I've been debating a reinstall, but haven't found the free time/inclination to do so... here's to hoping :)
