  • BO lvl question

I need some help.
I have a lvl 71 cv bo, w/ 2 lvl 61 ftrs & 2 lvl 61 TBs
I made a second cv bo to train up the lower fts and TBs I had.
I read that I shouldn뭪 have a bo higher then my pilots. I go with this for my BB뭩 but
is it that important for my cv.
2nd cv is at 54 with 1 ft @ 47 and 1 @ 55, 2 TBs at 60.
The reason my BO is higher is I didn뭪 start a second BB bo until late.

Remember that CV balance is based on ship tier first, then BO level. So if you have a
level 90 BO on an essex but only level 80 fighters you will be considered a higher ship
then a level 80 essex with level 90 fighters.

Theoretically it doesn't really hurt so long as you use the proper equipment on your
ship; that is, you don't try to run T1's on your Yorktown. But as a general rule of thumb,
having better crews than your BO reduces the temptation of doing as such.

You may also want to raise at least one more fighter and a few DB pilots for flexibility.
There's nothing wrong with having four fighter pilots, but raising more than that gives
you tactical flexibility since you can swap your setup around whenever you want; run
fighter-heavy and keep the enemy team blind, or bomber-heavy and kill ships, or
whatever.

the same thing applies to CV, you dont want your pilots to be lower level than your
BO...if you're in a cv4, ppl expect (and the game balances) you as a cv4...if your
pilots arent cv4 level, you're going to be a hinderance to your team
