well, i didnt get my atlanta till i was (and still am) lvl 33 and by then my gunners had
hit a good solid lvl for it, 32ish i think. i normally go wtih 5/54s becuz ive heard it
isnt that good to put the 6"s on it for the fact that the atlanta is a HA ship. that and
i dont hve the creds to completly change my guns from 5/54s to 6"S

They're right, I stayed in the Oak until 47 and HAing is the only way to go. Not to
mention you can AA with them if you have too.

lol, i haunt the forums some nights and try to impart what little wisdom i have. Plus
im still in the oak just shy of level 44 so i figured i musta learnt something along the
way..

i think u should use 5"54 Ls no matter which game your in.yes in close the 6s do
more damage but reload isnt as good.try both kinds and see which is better for u

Ok. I can help you here.

If you intend on fighting dd/cl games and hunting other dds and CLs that get too
close then you can use the 6"/53s. If you intend to spank the other cls and be able
to fight off pesky dds use the 5/54s.

If you intend on playing cl, cl/ca, cl/ca/bc, then use the 5/54s. With apc and high
angle you can rip most ships apart and thats why the altanta the oakland is one of
the most feared ships in that game mode. the 5/54s have pretty much twice the
range of 6"/53s and all the 6"/53 atlantas ive seen in cl/ca and above have been
torn apart in seconds...

Just dont forget to fully crew your guys, once you hit a CL fully crew your guys if you
havent already. Trust me.
