yea emperor go wit the Ds not the Ls.Ds give plenty of range and still do a good
angle.I would also say not to go with torps on the DDx this way you can hold more
crew on your sailors.Ds will give you 5 bins

i use 5"/ 54 cal Mark 16 L and they are heavy. i can only carry 2 round of ammo for each
gun. Is everyone else the same. or do i have to slim down something?

i say put the biggest guns u got get a skeleton crew put lots o armour and rush the crap
out of people.

How much distance ya think hes gonna have with 4" shells?Keep the 5" 54cals.The
DDX is meant to go head to head with DDs and destroy them.Cant see what special
tactics you could use that are special to this ship.just pound

Yeah, unless the DDX is using dual 6/53 guns. they're much lighter, leaving room for
the DDX to pack on the belt armor, just like you. Suddenly you're in a dual with a
ship that has almost as much armor as you and lots more firepower. oops!

I've experimented, and although it's clostly, I think it's worth it.

Just put the lightest 4" guns you have, take off the torp, and pump as much belt as
you can.

When in battle, keep your distance, and plow them with fast shells. You'll see that
even the best DDX will only do about 50-60 damage to you.

If you're using ACC gunners, stick with 5"54s. If you have good RLD gunners then you can use the 6".

With 5", learn to high angle for maximum damage using APC rounds.
With 6" use the Ds in order to get more binds. Use normal HE. At 30 degrees, normals should reach
just past the end of you site lines.

Use range with either type as much as possible. DO NOT get so committed to a target that you miss an
easy/closer opportunity. Don't hesitate to switch to targets of opportunity.
