This might sound strange, but the USS Arizone was not sunk by a AP Bomb, it was sunk by a 14" inch AP shell. I was in a book store one day, looking for a CV book, because I was so amazed by CV's ( and I SO WANT ONE IN NF!) and I found this Pearl Harbor book, and was bored so I was looking through the pages and read some of it, and there was this bolded part, talking about how the USS Arizona sunk, and it said that the USS Arizona was sunk by a AP shell. It said that when the Japanese was planning the attack, they did not have any Armor- Piercing Bombs to use, so they took a 14" inch BB's APC shell and glued some fins on it, vuala, a APC Bomb, and I also heard that it was by chance the bomber dropped the bomb and it went into the ammo compartment. My teacher says it was a lucky shot too.
PS. But not sure if all this is true, a lot of books can be wrong.
