Unfortunately, this can happen for seemingly no reason at all. If the servers are overloaded, or the host's connection is faulty, then those are potential reasons. The only sure predictor is if more than 60 or so players join the room and make it full before it starts. There is almost always prodigious crashing if 80/80 (give or take) or so players join, even if some of them leave before the game initiates.
