Quick Question,
I am about to get a Renown. I know it sucks, but it will be my only BC until retail. As
such, I want to make the best out of it. Which guns are better for the Renown: the
dual 14s or the dual 15's? Trainworld use to have you earning the dual 14s at
around lvl 42 and the 15s at 52. I thought the 14s would be better since my
gunners will be able to use them easily when I can get my Renown. However, now
trainworld has the 14s and 15s BOTH being earned at lvl 52. Which should I use?

none of us are happy about it, but all of us go through it and there's not much we can do about it.

i'm wondering... is the edin line any cheaper? or is it just as bad?

I always knew fitting out a York would be expensive. But the grind to get the credits, let alone the exp, is downright depressing. It seems like some days I do not earn any credits, and others where I play for an hour and have 20k more. At least exp gain is semi-consistent. I figure by the time I hit lvl 45 on my gunners I should have the credits, but I do not want to sell the Sirius, but I could sell my Q and L. With higher lvl crews a CL would be more useful to lvl up sailors than a DD.

So do other mid to high lvl UK players find themselves in the credit crunch? Are UK ships more expensive to fit out b/c of the armor vs other nations? And is there a point when credit gain simply isn't a problem. I would hate to think once I am settled into a York that I'd spend the next 10-15 lvls just barely getting enough credits to move into a Repulse (even though everyone says it sucks).

I was thinking of selling my Sirius and getting a Q instead... but I'll have to see when I'm ready to get the York.

by the time you reach level 43 you should have enough money to buy the York without selling your sirius hull. Unless of course you gain EXP by playin OPCON >:(

The Surrey is not so bad since it was remodled in a recent patch. Instead of being a huge floating whale with guns, it is now the size of a York with the abilties of a County. Basically, the Surrey is now a smaller County. I am not going to pay 80k for the remodel, but the Surrey has been improved greatly.

Mine cost approximately 750k including armour. This was with Max Crews.

3 x Tripple 8"
6 x Dual 4" AA
1 x CA2 Heavy Engine
CA FCS Aiming
~1.5" Deck
~1.0" Belt

Now when I use York, I have none of the AA guns, and switch between CL2 Heavy and CA2 Heavy engine dependin on my mood. My crews so fat so not much room for armour, so I stick it on Bulkhead

3) I hear the Surrey sucks. why?

Can't hold the Tripples --> Can't blockshot

It's a wannabe County without enough Displaement for similar amount of armour.

with what i wanted it came to 225k.
i have a Q class crew, bo is 25 or so, gunners are 28. i'm also running a fubu crew thats in the mid 20's where i'm lvling brit support and aa.
i have over 100k armour on my Q soo..... i'm guessing when i hit 34, i should hopefully be able to get this mighty sirius and have it fully kitted right away :D

Jet: the ship calculator should give you a good idea how much you'd have to spend for that sirius, guns and armor.
