i think it's worthless ship for blitz or Great battle
it's only fun target for TW
it only use for HA

its more or less identical to all the other APA's, just with different guns

Slow, sluggish, but great for AA

I put on lv90-100x4 eng, >lv100 repx2, monty gunnerx2 on Randall and it runs with
OH 36knot! The SD also goes above 600 or 700 and showed quite good repairing
rate, IF NOT 1 SHOOTED.

It will be interesting if bring it in CL war or something.

When setting it up for HA, you want all spaces below filled with landing forces.
Landing forces stack. Whether they stack like repairers (everyone added together)
or like Engineers (reduced benefit each time you add another one) is unknown, but
more is better for taking a harbor.

For GB, only the top gunners matter. 3/70 mk23N guns and as much ammo as you
can pack in for AA duty. The support slots can be used for levelling lots of sailors at
once through their mid to upper 40's before XP falls off.

And forget about using a Sonarman or hedgehogs. The subs are actually FASTER
than you are, so by the time you can see them, you're food.

i kinda like the Randall. A lot of support slots, 5 R slots that arent limited by their
position and quite alot of ammo space. Makes a decent, yet slow (however this can be
solved with engineers) AA platform.

if you aren't in a HA capable fleet you are wasting your time....or for that matter IN a
fleet.

I used an APA atlantis (KM) as an AA whore for quite awhile. The 6 suport slots were extra
nice for raising all 6 of my km fighters up to CA level. The APAs are slow though and
without the superior KM aa I would say the Randall isnt worth using outside of HA. A long
time ago in one of Yuno's updates he mentioned that HA would be reworked and more, better
apas would be added. Somehow i doubt that will ever happen though.

well, as you can't find a result in here, that means there is no advise but your only choice.

anyway, as you have mentioned about the "HA" game mode...err...currently...you should be
using AA setup. however, I guess if you have a better ship, you should not bother to use it
