Do you use WindowsXP with ServicePack2?

If you do, try exlucding NF from the DataExecutionPrevention:

A) Go to the Control Panel

B) Double-click on the SYSTEM icon.

C) Click on the ADVANCED tab.

D) Click on the SETTINGS button in the PERFORMANCE section.

E) Click on the DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION tab.

F) Check the checkbox in front of "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select"

G) Click ADD

H) Navigate to your NF directory and add the NavyFIELD.exe

it worked for me at home but now i got a problem. i am using a windows 98comp now and how do u u fixd this?

is there any suggestions to fix this then?

I have copied the latest patch over the existing files.
Launched NavyField.exe, which in turn has downloaded the latest stuff.
Before the program would crash at this point. But now I get the login screen.
I logged in and the program crashed *right* before it displayed my Japanese shipyard.

Same problem. The latest update (yesterday) didn't help.
