Briggerz
Pro's:

Amazing profile when compared with the yamato/Super Yamato, you can say good
bye to that big butt
The range is fanstastic compared to bb5's
AA is still uber, however there are a few less guns but against scout its doesnt make
tooo much difference
Maybe best damage

Con's

The spread is not good enough and worst than it was on the test server, I see this
as something that is really effecting the ship and I belive it needs to be buffed
slightly.
Its still ranged by Nebraska slighty and only slightly ranges QV however the AA
makes up for this.
39 knots feel slow for IJN, and with an average amount of bulge that goes straight
down to 37

I would give it a 7.8 out of 10.

@Sintri

I've never bounced bomber bombs. The odd hit on the belt, but never a bounce on the deck.
Then again, im not one of those people that goes full armour and want to be eatten up for
dinner

spread's still not that tight but it's not terrible.

L2 can bounce bombers to some extent, though I suppose so could the SY/44.

AA also requires you to be shooting at the planes.

AA superiority point is moot since you can't snipe scouts anymore. Any competent
player can pretty much keep their scout otside your aa range while scouting you for
the entire duration.

As for the Amagi. On paper, dreadfully terrible ship. 39 knts base, 35 knts full, not
all that much weight to play around, 20.5" duals share the same legacy as the 20.1"
duals. only 6 AA per side, though you get roughly 12 in the front and backs.
In practice, the damage isn't bad at max range, though once you're in range there
are things that you'll bounce off of. The AA angles are great, which somewhat
makes up for the loss of 2 turrets. Speed still sucks a bit, but least you're still faster
than a few bbs and you'll also do more damage and range against them. 20.5
angles are the same as you're used to.

Micro > nerfed AA range.

Besides, why digress to L2 and SY comparison in an Amagi thread.

Thanks for the update GT, hopefully I'll be able to borrow an IJN sailor and try out the
post-patch Amagi.

The recent acc and rel buffs have done wonders for the Amagi. Bad spread was, by far, the
most heard complaint about the ship...yet in a few games this afternoon, I was able to
one-shot quite a few BB5s by landing all shells. A wonderful spread.

SY > L2 case closed. AA > All

i got an idea.

(L2 vs H44/SY) vs a massive group of bombers.

on topic, the amagi is a great ship, but the 45 degree angle make it hard to do much
when in a good line battle :S
