Have you tried redownloading NF yet?
Do you use WinXP SP2?
Try turning off the SP2 firewall
A) Click the Start button
B) Click the Control Panel icon
The Control Panel window appears
C) Double-click the Security Center icon
The Windows Security Center window appears
D) Click the Windows Firewall listing
The Windows Firewall window appears
E) Click the General tab
F) Click to select the Off option
G) Click the OK button
If you use any other firewalls/routers keep in mind that NF uses port 8100 and 16671.
