  • Make a penalty for Op Convoy for early retreats

I get so tired of wait for a game to even start, then worry about who will crash at start, then see how many are AFK if not crashed........ Wheww now lets play and if the numbers of ships and types are still fairly close to what we started the game with COOL... With only 1 or 2 scores into the 1st round people start to retreat because the are down 1 or 2 crates and making the rest of the entire game impossible to even play now because they left so soon...
If it is at start of the game (after plane is shot down) there is no reason for anyone to retreat in the first round and when they do, they have decided for the entire 2 teams playing who will win and lose by quiting and cause everyone whom has waited to start then play to lose credits and experience as a direct result of leaving in the first round...

Make it so that if players retreat in the first round (if teams are not one sided after strart) they are the only one penalized and not everyone else playing the game because of them..
If anyone want to retreat after the 2nd round ok then but atleast make it through the first round for the rest of the players...

Something needs to be done about this 1st round mass voluntarily retreating making the rest of the game worthless,,

The other day I was playing one, 7 on 7, 2 on our side crashed out at the start.

So, now we're down 7-5, but still get the first crate (fast FF) the other team is obviously playing like individuals, not a team, and starts retreating as soon as the first crate is scored.

by the end of the first round, Alpha is down to 3, Bravo still has their leftover 5 from the start.

Impose a penalty (and a big warning label on retreating) on players who do so from OpCons PLEASE...

You're idea is horrible. If you can't retreat without getting penalized(and those who retreat have wasted their time too) then what happens when games get stacked or AB...which is an all time too often occurrence.

Let me tell you what has happened in the last 3 Op convoys I played.

1st game: 3 Z99s(2 were 3 bars) refused to switch from Alpha to Bravo claiming that the ff Bravo had was a better runner than them. Game starts b/c people are getting tired of waiting. Z99s are on and away with the cargo before Bravo even rounds the island. That ff? Yeah, he was noob and had to have the game explained. Nevermind the fact that whenever he did get into the crate area he lasted about 10 secs before the waiting Z99s hulled him and left him with about 50dp.

2nd game: 2CAs, 2 CL, 2DD(Jap torp whores) against 8DDs. However right before the game started mysteriously enough Bravo's 3 fast DDs got "dropped". So, 5 DDs against what was mentioned in the first sentence. Pointless once the CLs got into the crate area.

3rd game: Same issue with Z99s not wanting to balance. Claiming other ships are just as good as they are at being runners:)

My opinion- Op convoy is being used and manipulated by certain "people" to AB their teams so they can crush the other team and prevent any possible attempt at fair-play. Would not bother me if they completely took Op Convoy out until they can prevent abuses.
