Just a little reminder to those of you out there, like me, that enjoy taking part in
debate topics of a political nature in this sub-forum its time to tone it down a bit.
What I mean is some are getting a little personal as topics go on and that is a no
no. Also, some of you are hijacking threads and running off on your own little
pissing contests. That needs to stop as well.

As I said above, I enjoy debating stuff on this site. Not just politics. But if some
continue to get personal, degrade others views, or hijack threads then all debate
topics regardless of the content will be locked and binned on site. And if/when you
get the urge to hijack a thread stop and start your own. Yes its that simple.

So please think before you post and respect all opinions no matter how far out you
think they are.

As of today all political themed threads will be locked on site. We in TNF have tried
hard to give everyone the chance to express themselves on topics they care about
as long as people do not use personal insults to express themselves. It would
appear some have forgotten that based on a number of comments in the "Grade
Obama" thread. For that reason political themed threads will be temporarily banned
until further notice.

This thread is still relevant and needs to be followed. Debate threads will continue
as long as proper respect is given to all views discussed. If that is not possible
topics that could lead to flames and inappropriate comments will start to be locked
on site.

TNF and the FM remain committed to allowing people to discuss topics that they care
about as long as responses remain on topic and do not attack someone elses point
of view. The choice is yours.

I can see that some do not understand what I'm trying to say based on
responses to this thread.
I tried.

When certain threads get locked/binned based on their content don't act surprised.

Oh snap, wethog, you have virtually removed every future opportunity for the NF
community to read further posting by "someone who has the facts on his side,
someone who is right" Nakimushi and a few others.

With that said, please STICKY THIS THREAD so as to allow this thread to forever act
as a reminder to said individuals and any other future wannabes. Thx.

@naki
Your too full of yourself.

If u had or when u have a good thought critical of the US it's cool.

But u come up with off the wall the world is flat stuff and then try to beat us stupid
with bad facts from bad sites that r always tore apart.

When u do that we get angry and when u repeatedly do that u rightfully get the tag of a US
hater and a conspiracy theorist.

The fact that u always state your beliefs as facts doesn't help either.

Edit: Naki I really do love debating with u when u have a good idea and valid facts. So
don't think I just bash on u for no reason.

I did not direct this thread at anyone specifically. We all don't think the same way,
or I hope we don't, so we all need to be respectful of others opinions. Thats the
point.

But this also is a forum run by a private company so if/when the time comes that my
Boss's feel that these debates have gone to far they will stop. Keep that in mind
when you respond to someone with a view that is different than yours.

err, how can I hijack a thread, which I started?
90% of the threads dealing critically with US politics are from my side. I see a problem
with some of you guys, as your (zerocoolness) statement shows:
You wanna cut off critical thoughts/ comments by 2 ways:

1) trying to diffame the poster by calling him conspiracy theorist

2) Insulting with words or pictures that have nothing to do with the topic not to mention
in a serious debate (fail pics i.e., greetz at Hiru from my side)

The last thread was a very good example. All I said was, that an army must not be used to
police and this is a sign of vanishing democracy.
You people twisted it the way, as if I said the army would pull you out of your beds in
night and shoot you with machine guns...

As I said in my statement in that reffered to thread:

"Personal comment @ the posters here:
I큕 like to see the day some of the posters here would develop a kind of "relaxed mood"
when it is about discussing controversal
topics. "

Someone, who has the facts on his side, someone who is right, does not need to become
aggressive or insulting, as the pure pointing at the facts, will disarm his verbal opponent.

P.S.:

Thank you for this thread Wethog.

on a serious note thats not to be taken the wrong way. if naki was blocked from
such a thread, it might be more civil.

its just that when time after time he hijacks a thread into a conspiracy theory rant,
ppl go haywire.

Meh, in a place like this, it's pretty hard to get a serious debate going. Especially with
the number of idiots around who don't know proper etiquette in online debates.

Only real solution would be to make a separate debate-only subforum with stricter rules.
Otherwise, as long as it's a thread in Off-Topic, there will be people who will come and
try to flame the crap out of each other.
