HOOD IS GOOD

I've not tried that, although I HAVE tried Rp12sL's with and without the BB2 FCS when my
gunners were around lvl 102-ish (search this forum using my name as author and you'll find
it). The results were reasonably similar, so i should imagine they'd be something similar
using Rp12L's (also, how many blocking Nelsons did you see when they could briefly use BB2
FCS, and some of them were only 2 gold >.>).

Pardon me for repeating myself and coming off in a negative manner, but for those
people saying it is a huge target - learn to dodge! It has one of largest turning
forces (if not the largest) for a reason! Also, your arse is pretty slim. It is just the

Have you tried Vanguard with normal rp12 L's? I haven't, but am curious to know its
spread... Considering the rp12sL's seem to already have good spread, I assume it is
even tighter ? (I would check myself, but am not meant to log in for another few
days >.> I don't expect you to check either, I am just curious if you have tried it)

basically yes, technically no.

Hood and Repulse (and Nelson for a large proportion of the time if you want range) use
RP12L's.

Vanguard (and Nelson at higher lvl's) use the RP12sL's (notice the 's'). Slightly more
range , less ammo however due to higher gunspace).

Yeah i'm currently enjoying the Hood/Vanny line.

Nelson is a BB3. Hood is a BB2 (actually more like 2.5). You can't say one is better
without taking that into consideration, and even then, it's apples vs. oranges.

Hood is a BB room ship. Its speed, range, and turning ability make it an
excellent ship for hit-and-run attacks, but it suffers in GB due to its size. It's like
Bismarck in this regard.

Nelson, by contrast, is in its element in GB, because it's a small target, and friendly
CVs keep the enemy blind so it can rush in. It's the easiest BB in the game to drive;
just point and shoot and pwn. But Nelly suffers in BB rooms because it doesn't have
its own scouts, and it's slow compared to most other ships of its level.

Nelly isn't necessarily a better ship, it just requires a lot less skill to use than Hood
does.

I play in BB rooms a lot, so I want the Hood. Hood and Vanguard are THE reasons I
went UK. Bugger the Nelson.

I second last comment, nelly is amazing for quads and deck

After fighting both of them, I would say nelson is a lot better. Nelson can be armored and
is a pain to kill. Hood is almost impossible to miss.
