Hi all I am normally a CV driver and began dabling in BBs for a break from CV6 grind.
I fell in love with my Ise remodel and B65 bath toy. But I noticed that the Naga has a
totally diffrent style from both these ships. Any suggestions on the use and
outfitting of a Naga?

I'm using a nagato for a long time because not enough level to use yamato.....
I think nagato is a great ship if you compare with fuso/ise/B65, it got good range
and strong fire power, I can us HE to break lion1 even though Iowa can not do
this.... It is really a BB3 which can bettle with BB4 but not almost lose=.=
How to use it!?, you have to practice, if you really use it well, you will agree my point
of view!
Don't rush, keep the ship light and have a good speed, just use your range and fire
power!

That is valuable advice on the dp gunners although I do like plinking scouts on my
Naggy and taking out one or two db's, but really I should be levelling supports. Thanks

p.s. post-buff, Vanny is now bb4

that's quite a necro there but a decent question. i enjoyed reading my post of so long ago
and thinking it still holds up well, except vanny is not bb4 and i meant o-pro2 not 1 but
anyway ur question;
aa gunners, no don't use em on naggy, you should (common wisdom says) lvl ur dp gunners as
armament sailors i.e. don't class em on time, until they're lvl 62. at this level i used
B65, i loved the b65 more than ise, i won a BO reset and have fuso now tho.
so, no. the few lvl's ur on naggy u can rest ur aa gunners, assuming ur going 4 bb6 ur
supports will be the last thing to lvl anyway as gunners (inc aa) get 50% iirc more xp
than all other sailors except BO.
ur lvl 77ish aa gunners will perform well enough on yammi and catch up & over take your
reps some time in the 105-110 lvl range, on naggy the extra help of 2 reps on aa slots
will really help and hopefully put u over 900SD.

Crew loudout. I noticed that everyone's ideal Naggy crew put supports in the t-slots.
Shouldn't you be levelling up your DP gunners for Yammyland? That is what I'm doing.

Sure if I had a pair of level 100 dp gunners I'd put supports in the t-slots, but who has
such luxury on their first grind?

Well, in my view, there is something to be said of the naggy. Its a very independent
ship. How well you do in a Fuso/Ise is almost entirely up to how well your team
does. Its a ship that rely's on blindness and distraction to get into range.

When you have a 120k attk + game in a fuso, its not like you tipped the scales or
anything 80% of the time. Its s very dependent on the team you are playing with.

When i walk out of a room with 120K+ attack in a room with my naggy, i know i
helped. I know when it doesnt really make a diff, but it jsut seems like that when
you are in a naggy, you have more of an impact on how the game ends up.

When you are on a par team, you have no idea how much that extra range makes a
difference.

So yes, Fuso may be a better ship for farming, but the naggy isnt all that bad. Also
kicks arse in bb123 rooms.

Dont bother with it...do the first 5 or so lvl's with Fuso\Ise and teh last 6 lvl's with
B65...
Reasons?

1.) spread sucks nuts...
2.) its fat...
3.) it has terrible gun arks...
4.) AA is worthless on it...
5.) its ugly, and has an ugly name...

reasons for Fuso\Ise...

1.) as fast as Naggy...
2.) better spread (more shells land within the same area as Naggy)...
3.) smaller target...
4.) less likley to be targeted (this is an assumption that i belive to be 75% true)...
5.) more likley to hit the XP cap with a Fuso\Ise with Naggy lvl crew.

reasons for B65...

1.) fast...
2.) got some schweeeeet AA...
3.) got hi-angle gunz...
4.) got better gun arks...
5.) looks teh shiznitzell and is basically early potty training for Yammy...
6.) again, more likley to hit teh XP cap with a B65 with Naggy lvl crew.

I love my naga.... scout the enemy, pick your target and wait til he come a little
closer... BOOM you shells flying while you already vanish in the fog or OH outta his
range, before he noticed you already shot he got the full load of your shells, and
with good gunners and a little luck he really starts whining.

the key imo is USE your speed and your range.. doesn큧 matter your spread is not
the best, the shells hit hard, so every hit is a real punish for the enemy.

But Fuso with 16" D is also very very nice, i have to say i have complete elite crew
on my IJN line and all are b/v/e completely so i have with my lvl 81 already 885 SD
with the following setup:

BO
2 Gunners
4 Engys
3 Reps
1 Scout


I큟 already lvling another Engy for Yammy.

B65 was not that good imo, i don큧 liked the ship at lvl, but now with some higher lvl
(81) it rocks hard....

compared to IJN ships yes, but hardly when SoDaks and Pows can run about the
map at 50+
