No one really knows if the effects of fighter and bomber abilities are linear or exponential.

11/12s are potentially better than 12/11s

Elite fighters are garbage.
Elite bombers are amazing.

First off, aside from all this nonsense.

The aircraft stat is worthless on all planes, it isnt put in the game yet.
The bomber stat only affects airplane defense, it affects all types of planes, not only
bombers.
The fighter stat affects the airplanes damage, and affects all types of planes, not only
fighters.

So right now, when you look for any type of plane the only stats you should look for
(regardless of pilot type) are

fighter/bomber
and less importantly
rep/res

so technically speaking a 13/9 is just as good as an 11/11, but I would stick with the
elites unless you get a 12/11.

I was told that aircraft stat' is non-working/basically useless right now ... ? All of my
pilots, including scouts, are at "least" 11/11 fighter/bomber ... fighter affecting their
proficiency in shooting down other aircraft, and bomber affecting their ability to take
battle damage.

As mentioned, if you have elite bombers, convert them ASAP. Having aircraft ability is
useless for fighters/dive bombers/torp bombers. And if you have elite bombers/fighters,
then you will only gain +9 base aircraft ability. Even for those players that convert late
to gain true ability through heavier crew, they do it after they've chosen to be
fighters/bombers.

well should i just put off making them a Tb and keept them scouts for a little bit more

Aircraft stat has been determined to be useless for TB and DB. if you have elites with
the +13. Boost those bad boys and level them up. Disappointment will not be found in
your future!

Aircraft stat = Scout
Bomber stat = Bomber (TB or DB)
Fighter stat = Fighter

Don't get poisoned by people who says Aircraft stat matters for bomber and fighter.
The +13 base for the pilots will certainly help if you at least BE it (I don't recommend
Vetting as vet loss for pilots is crazy)

Using Elites for DB is not recommended as all pilots work at almost same efficiency in
terms of bombing, a +7 base normal pilot and a +13 base BVE pilot will do basicly
the same thing. The +7 one might get fried right after bomb dropping though.
