"In What specific way was I rude? I merely pointed out that asking people to reduce
thier security settings is generally a bad idea seeing as the settigns are there for a reason.
I have tried a variety of security settings but no joy."

I took offence to your flippant remark towards my suggestion at reducing security settings. I know that generally it's a bad idea to do, then again, if you are troubleshooting a websites problems you have to get at a solution, one possible thought i had for some of the people here was to momentairly reduce their security settings while at 1 site. That would be safe.

"I supplied what you asked for
(or did you really want the exact IE ver no? in this case 6.0.20900 and 6.0.20183)
and i appologise if it was perhaps a bit abrupt."

I apologize if i was abrupt as well, you need to understand that I am answering as many posts as i can along with attempting to communicate these difficulties to teamNF and trying to work out a particularly difficult situation with the e-mail verification system. I don't generally take kindly to people dismissing my suggestions as stupid or worthless, if you spent your free time helping someone would you?

"Based on my experience with my email service my first guess woudl be that at some point the IP adress that the email woudl originate might have been Ided as a spam source at soem point in the past as my email service keeps stupidly sensitive blacklists and simply rejects any mail rather than spam folder it.

I appreciate the problems faced with any new system and the apparent preasures you may be under but such out right rudeness is a i fear unbecoming. If there is any specific information that can be provided that you feel may help please ask."

As i said the coment you made dismissing my suggestion, was uncalled for I felt the need to explain to you why. If i was a bit overboard it is because I am not used to people asking for help replying with flippant remarks.

I have asked teamNF to look into this problem and i'm sure it will be solved soon.

If i have offended you in any way please accecpt my most sincere apology.

Well aside from you being a bung hole,

I am just trying to help you troubleshoot, as many other people are not having this problem, i am trying to figure out what your situation is. As you have yet to offer me more information than you are using IE6, what should i asume is diffrent about your computer that makes it not work, where mine works just fine. Do you have any thoughts on this?

I am just attempting to offer ideas thay may serve to assist you. I am not a professional computer tech, nor do I aspire to be. I am just a guy who knows some stuff, who is trying to help 5 people in this topic. If a statement doesnt seem to apply to your situation that is one thing, but being rude to someone who is taking time out of their lives to help you is just plain stupid.

Good Luck

IE ver 6.

As for security settings if you are forcing that old chestnut on people soemthing is defiantly wrong in my opinion (the fact that i get the javascript message boxes does imply that it isn't a security issue).

well i've tried it a few times and every time it works real well for me.

I have notified TeamNF that there are people having difficulties.

Have you attempted reducing your security settings?

What browser and version do you use?

Well thats 7hours and still no confirmation email and yes my address is spelled correctly and yes i got all the messages saying my email was sent.

Maybe the the bit of code handling the emails has been swamped?

Make sure that you have Java and Java Script allowed.

Another thing that you MAY try is to reduce your security settings on your browser to the lowest possible just for this one thing. Then increase them again to whatever setting you are most comfortable at.
