  • Have Realistic Torpedo Load Counts on all ships

Team Navyfield should consider making all ship closer to their historical counterparts, that means a Destroyer should not be able to mount triple turrets of any kinda, dual should be the most, I don't believe any DD had a triple turrets, and all ships that carry torpedoes should be limited to the number of torps in the historical class design. This allows tactics to play into the game and allows for NF to be a more realistic Simulation....two words which are in the description of this game....Might make things a little more interesting, eliminate the unfair advantage of torp whoring ships like the Kita (Which I think didn't even exist except in Hypothetical schematics). I could be wrong about this...but I am quite fluent in IJN Ship classes, and I have never heard of it....thoughts and oppinions? And if all you are going to do is flame me, and right "No" or "this is retard" move one, because I want to see something more intelligent on this topic

I have no problem with the launchers, for the torps....it is the reloads that are annoying, as someone pointed out the Tribal class could not reload at sea, If this is a tactical sim, shouldn't it be more closer bound in reality. As for guns on DDs the only ones I have a real issue with are the ones that mount triple turreted guns on thier ships, I don't remember any DD have triple turrets of any caliber, but I could be wrong....in DD v DD games, the triple turrets are an unfair advantage IMO

Indeed... most torpedo tubes are historical.

Only the guns which can be used on DDs are a bit larger than historical but this is mainly due to balance reasons.

After all you do want to have some change against a BB in your DD.

Babs out!

Many destroyers carried triple or quadruple torpedo launchers, it's just that they didn't carry reloads (barring the Japanese).

Actually the Tribal class destroyers carried a quad set of torpedos. The problem was that they couldn't be reloaded at sea.

If you want the proof, HMCS Haida sits today at HMCS Star in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Kita did exist and was a massive torp whore in world war 2.

Note that it had a metric asston of torpedos in reality too.
