Hey guys,
I know this is going to sound insane, but I was wondering if it was even a remotely good idea to put the single 18 inch guns on a York? I am pretty sure I could only fit two with my heavy crew, but would the spread be so bad as to forget the whole thing? Also, I noticed that both the Surrey and the County have enough room to fit the 18s, as well. With the Surrey I might be able to fit three 18s instead of just two with my York.

Thanks,
Vorru

"I noticed that both the Surrey and the County have enough room to fit the 18s, as

Just for information's sake, the Edinburgh can fit 2 18" on the front, but only with
one bind, and only the Ds, i think.

Awsome damage if you manage to hit anything with them.

(I hit a 3k+ non-critical on a QE's deck with them)

Holy crap! an 18 incher has the same range as a trip 8! That's insane. I think I will try it anyway before retail since I won't have anything to lose. Thanks for the replies.

tyson right keep triple 8" as you can only fit 2 single 18"ers which is bad as youll have a hard time hitting anything due to its rld and chance of hitting something. gotta luv those ppl do so as theyre food. =)

actaully...i tried 1 18" on the york but in the L version and they have the same range as triple 8" if using normal HE on it.

I've tried it.

They have horrible range (D models) and you will have a tough time hitting anything. Wouldn't suggest it for anything but missions :D

I've seen it tried. I don't think that the results have been that successful. Maybe give them a try and tell us all about it.
