  • Setup for Sirius AAW ship

I am looking for a little change of pace as my 2nd BO is now almost high enough to use the
Sirius (1st BO can also use Sirius btw). So to add a little variety to my gameplay I
thought I could give AAW a try. And since Dido/Sirius in real life was a CLAA I figured
why not.

What setup should I use. My gunners are lvl45 UK heavy reload, ~120 experts and ~50 vets.
Obviously the 2nd set of 5.3" duals should be used, but should I use the Ns, Ls, or Ds.
Then what sort of ammo loadout should I use... I figure 1, maybe 2 binds of HHE, with the
rest AAA. Lastly is there any ideal armor set up, or is whatever I currently have fine.

Thanks in advance.

I'd say use the D version for the lighter weight and faster reload. Depending on gun
weight and how much armor you want, there won't be that much space for ammo.
I'd want 2 binds of HE and the rest AAA. The duals will eat through 1 bind pretty
fast, but you should be able to use 2 if you aim carefully.

You'll probably want more deck armor to protect against bombers. I wonder if 2"
deck would be enough to help with planes, and then balance the rest of your armor
between belt, bulk & bulge. Leave the bulk & bulge at 10 each, I was able to
absorb some aerial torp hits for a carrier just fine with that much. Anything else,
just maneuver away from it.
